I grew up as the oldest of three sisters, so babysitting comes quite naturally for me. In addition to having a large family with many little cousins, I have also been teaching children ages 3-18 dance for 4 years. Through these experiences, I've really grasped the importance that nannies, babysitters and teachers have in a child's life. I take that responsibility very seriously! Naturally, one of the things I love to share with kids is my passion for dance. Whether its just turning on some music and having a dance party in the living room or practicing for an upcoming recital. I love to share something that has been such an integral part of my life with children. Reading is one of favorite things, and I always enjoy the opportunity to help a child learn to read, or further foster their love of reading. I recently graduated with my BA Read more from the University at Buffalo, so I'm not too far out of that academic mindset. I am always ready to help with homework or any school projects. I also love to bake, and I find that making a recipe start to finish is such a rewarding activity for kids to take part in. My main goal when babysitting is to create a safe and warm environment for the children in which they feel comfortable just being themselves. If I can teach them something or help them accomplish a goal, that's even better.
