Hello! My name is Bailey, I have been working with kids my whole life. It began with my mother’s in-home daycare, where as a young child I helped care for the other children. Then, I babysat all throughout middle school and high school and nannied for several families. Most notably, I was a full-time nanny for a family of 3 boys for 7 consecutive summers. With this family, I was a full-time caretaker, I did all driving to and from events, shopping, laundry, house keeping, and sometimes stayed overnight when the parents were traveling. I still keep in close contact with this family today. After high school, I acquired a degree in Elementary Education and worked as a certified elementary school teacher for 5 years. I taught second grade for 2 years, fourth grade for 2 years, and my last year of teaching, I built such a strong bond with Read more my fourth grade class that I looped with them and taught the same group of kiddos 5th grade. I am currently in my second year of graduate school at the University of Denver. I decided that I want to further my understanding of child psychology within the school setting, thus, I am working toward an EdS degree in School Psychology (I will graduate May 2022). Throughout my time in graduate school, I have worked as a practicum student within the elementary and high school setting throughout Denver. Additionally, for the past 3 years I have tutored privately and for a local tutoring company. I currently tutor children whom are gifted, learning disabled, on the autism spectrum, and typically developing. I have experience working with all kinds of children with varieties of disabilities and conditions. I am skilled at developing and implementing interventions for all ranges of concerns at home and in the school setting. I am qualified to help children academically, socially, and emotionally ECE-12th grade. Most importantly, however, I am truly passionate about childhood well-being and I genuinely love building relationships with kiddos, as I believe trust, understanding, and fun are the foundations for learning and growing. I am looking for families to babysit or tutor. I am open to more steady weekly part-time nannying as well, but with my graduate school schedule I may need some flexibility in a more long term situation. Thanks for considering me as a caretaker and support for your child(ren) and I look forward to connecting.
