Love children. A Mother of two grown children, and a grandmother of two wonderful little girls. I still have mothering skills left in me, and a thing or two to teach and many stories to tell. I'm flexible in many aspects of child rearing, though I am a firm believer in live and learn, and to not over coddle children. Everything in moderation, right? I most definitely don't believe in hitting a child, but I don't believe in everyone wins either! Consequences are a fact of life. I currently do not have space in my home for children to stay with me, but I am trustworthy to care for children in their own environment- where they will feel the safest and more comfortable. Routines, structure, and interacting with children, and Good roll models in their lives, are part of a good balance. I'm reliable, will be there -on time (if Read more not earlier) and when I say I am gonna be there , unless something unforeseen- an emergency comes into play. My life is quiet, and other then doctors appointments, and maybe an occasional out of town adventure to see family, I am pretty open as availability at the moment. I'm not looking for all day - day care, or nannying full time, I am not looking for cooking and cleaning and taking care of children. (I can cook a meal and clean up) I would like to give couples, or single parents a night out, or a day off, maybe offer some help from time to time on picking children up from school and taking them home, maybe watching them until mommy or daddy get home - once in a while, but not all the time! And not everyday. I want to offer a helping hand, offer some "me time" moments to parents -who don't just want to trust just anyone with their children, and open their doors to their home. NOT NOW A DAYS! Im an open book, im not perfect, but I'm not a threat or a thief either. My significant other and I live with my parents and we help them in day to day tasks as they are getting older and aren't able to do everything on their own. My significant other manages a Home Depot and is honorable and we can also offer references for the last 5 years for him. I am retired, haven't worked for over 9 years. As far as references - my parents, all my friends, my brother and his wife. I choose not to spend 100$ for a background check on this site, where I can pay less then 40$ on other background checking websites. I have nothing to hide, so if you are interested, I will see about getting a copy of my background check somewhere less expensive!
