Intro: I am 23 years old. When I graduated high school in 2010, I immediately began working on becoming a CNA/Certified Nurses Aide at my local Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I worked there for two years when a shoulder injury hampered my ability to return to work. Over the course of my first year, an acquaintance suddenly became a single mother. She has three children, two on the autism spectrum. They are wonderful children, albeit a handful - all the time, but wonderful kids. To support her children, their mother had to work. Thus, Nanny Chassie was born. These children have been my first priority for five years. I am moving away now to further myself within my own life. I have taught them everything i can at this point.. and i must brag, i did pretty good job. They all say yes ma'am, no sir, please, thank you, and Read more are pretty decent sharers. Their math skills are pretty great too. I never knew the feeling you get teaching children to read or write... I hope everyone gets that opportunity in their lifetime. Sorry, moving on... I'm rambling. Training: I know first aide from being a CNA for two years. I have ample experience with children, pets, household chores, all duties a well-rounded Nanny should be. Mostly though, I'm self trained. I have more than 10 children in the area who call me Aunt Chassie, and only one of those is ACTUALLY family. I cant walk into the Middle School without being bombarded. I wont lie, it bring utter joy to my eyes. I will require within the home i work in: -SET rules and regulations. If you don't have this, we may sit and discuss these options. This is VERY important. I work WITH the parents NOT against them. If you are wibbly-wobbly about your rules, i cant work with you. There are always exceptions, of course. I am strict. No means no, yes means yes. I will not be the one to teach your child that when you say no XBOX, they go play on it because they can and you aren't around. -SCHOOL IS NUMBER ONE. I will not allow your children to play (but they WILL snack after school-food for thought) until their HOMEWORK IS COMPLETE! -Supervising the children at -least- TWICE before being alone with them. This is more for their comfort than mine. Children seeing you authorizing my authority helps when i have the children. It stabilizes their thoughts and they no longer recognize me as a stranger. -Children who are seriously the most awesome kids in the entire world... so, yes, i do mean yours!
