Currently, I am looking for part-time and/or occasional childcare and/or house and pet sitting. I have raised one son and for the past 9 years have provided care for two boys (now 9 & 7) and their sister (now 16 months) from birth to present time (very part-time for a neighbor). Over the past 2.5 years, have provided regular and occasional child care for three families--ages 5 months through 9 years of age, including families with multiple children. I have taught computer (educational programs only) and Discovery Science classes after school, volunteered in the classroom during my son's elementary school years, and have coached teams for Odyssey of the Mind as well as was North Region Director for Odyssey of the Mind. For several years, I worked part-time as a teaching assistant at preschools (private and St. Vrain school district). I strongly believe in a healthy and rewarding lifestyle--eating, exercise, discipline--as well as addressing educational needs. I enjoy games of all types and levels, depending on the age of the child(ren) and prefer to entertain the children or provide them with appropriate individual activities/play as opposed to being entertained by the TV. I enjoy observing and participating in the growth of a child in every aspect--cooking, creative play/projects, reading, singing/dancing, etc. I am a mature, energetic, responsible, reliable and nurturing person who thoroughly enjoys children of all ages.
