Hello and thank you for reading my bio! My name is Shannon, I live in Lakewood near the Belmar area, and I would be pleased to look after your kiddos during summer break! Because of my teaching schedule, my summers are pretty open and flexible, especially during the week while my hubby us at work. I love watching kids during summer break, as I get to enjoy the amazing Colorado outdoors and still work with kids until my students return in the fall. With your permission, I will gladly take your kids to participate in summer fun activities like water play parks, picnics in the park, library craft and read aloud days, and bike rides or nature walks. I am available for a date night out or on a scheduled weekly basis. I have plenty of childcare related experience, in addition to teaching for the last four years. I have Read more also been a babysitter, nanny, swim couch, and Site Director of a K-6 Before and After School Program at Hackberry Hill Elementary, caring for up to 40 children per day! I have worked with kids of all ages- newborn through high school. I now teach 8th grade Language Arts in Adams 12, and I absolutely love it! I have a background in Elementary and Secondary Education, Psychology, and Nutrition. I have a BA degree in Behavioral Science and am working towards my MA degree in Educational Psychology. In my personal life, I love to read and write, stay active, and energetic. My husband and I enjoy camping, hiking, and skiing together.  I also enjoy being creative, doing arts and crafts, baking, and painting. I am a responsible, neat, caring, and kind- and I love working with kids of all ages! I am more than happy to provide references as well, just ask!
