I am a 2014 graduate of Avon High School. I'm currently a full-time college student, majoring in nursing. I enjoy playing soccer and lacrosse. I was on the Varsity teams while in high school. I enjoy teaching children how to play sports as I was also a certified referee for the Avon Soccer Club. I also received the Avon Soccer Club scholarship this year. I'm a member of St. Ann's Church in Avon and was involved in volunteering with the youth group, which included assisting the homeless at a shelter in Hartford. I strive to achieve honors in my classes and made honor roll, including receiving the scholar athlete award all four years of high school. I received an academic scholarship to attend college and currently have a 4.0 GPA. As far as my involvement with children, I volunteered at Thompson Brook School in Avon as a homework helper focusing Read more in mathematics and writing. I have taken care of my young cousins and enjoy spending time with them. I have had two jobs besides being a ref. I worked at Burger Fi in Avon, CT as a cashier and most recently at Adventure Land, working with children playing sports, in Narragansett, RI. I look forward to working with children in my time away from college to not only earn a paycheck, but to get an even better understanding of child development to assist me with my future career as a nurse.
