I have been a caregiver for more than 10 years. I began as a babysitter at the age of 13 for all of the children in my neighborhood when the parents would seek a night out. Once I was of age to drive a car, I would spend summers with children, driving them to their activities and spending days with them while their parents had to work. During my college years, I studied and worked as a nanny. After seven years of nannying, I did some babysitting a few days a week while working part-time as a massage therapist.
