I'm a child at heart, and a free spirited young adult. I love kids and have been babysitting for a little over 7 years now. I've had a variance of experience with ages, as well as experience with different behavioral/learning problems. I love to bake, being outside, arts and crafts and animals. When I was growing up I was constantly playing make believe, setting up pretend restaurants, coming up with my own little business ventures and putting on plays. Even though at 20 years old I'm not playing make believe games, those basic structure of those ideals have stuck with me; leadership and the concept of earning. I want your child to understand that they can be whatever they want to be, and to know that even make believe games can turn into realities if they work hard. Although I'm super sweet and for the most part all fun and Read more games, I do know how to lay down the law - no pushovers here! I'm also a big proponent of reward systems, I think its important to show children that if they do good, then good things will come to them. However I do play by your rules, so if you're not interested in your child getting little treats for their good behavior or deeds then neither am I! I'm definitely not the type of person to bend the rules or intrude on a family's established structure and I think that's a pretty important aspect of myself. Other things you should know as well is that I am a college student studying a Johnson & Wales in Providence. I'm about a year and a half ahead of where I should be in terms of earning my degree; technically I should have completed my sophomore year this past school year, however I'm currently in the middle of my senior year studies. With that being said, I do have two classes that I am taking in Providence this summer and therefore Mondays and Wednesdays I need to be in Providence by 6PM. I try to be as flexible as I can though, and my professors are relatively lax when it comes to late classes and work endeavors, but this is something I'm hoping that we can work around! I have my own car too, so please don't be afraid to ask for help with errands or last minute pick ups/drop offs. Please let me know if you have any questions!
