My name is Mallory, I’m 20 years old, and live in Bristol, CT. I have had nothing but great experiences as a care giver. I’m both dependable and responsible, all the while being fun and encouraging. I’ve always loved working with children. I have been a nanny for 2 families, and have cared for children as young as 6 months old and up to 15 years old. I’m very personable, understanding, and patient which has helped me form positive and healthy friendships with every child, teen, or individual I’ve had the pleasure of being around. I was a special education major my freshman year of college at Salve Regina University, however upon transferring to the University of Connecticut I am now an educational psychology major with a personal concentration in counseling. I have volunteered in several elementary schools and am certified to help run after school programs. I really enjoy Read more creating an interactive and safe space for all the kids I work with. I have worked as a peer mentor in Bristol Eastern High School to help teens resolve any disputes with other students, faculty, or administration. As with all my other activities, I keep the highest level of confidentiality and trust with whomever I work with. I am a certified youth sports instructor by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association. For the past 4 years, I have coached for the Connecticut Magic Girls AAU Basketball team. Aside from coaching, my responsibilities included organizing transportation, communicating with parents, and ultimately being a resource for my players on and off the court. For the past 3 years, I have been an active volunteer with the Best Buddies Association and have worked with individuals with disabilities ages 5 to 45 and up. I’ve been lucky enough to have gained some of the best friendships through this organization! I also volunteer at the Animal Rescue Foundation and enjoy working with and caring for all animals, I have a significant amount of experience working with infants, children, teens, and young adults respectively. I find it to be the most rewarding thing ever and therefore have geared my studies toward educational psychology so that I can do it for the rest of my life. It’s hard to say what I like most about working with and caring others, as the whole experience is truly awesome. I have a big heart and think it’s just about the greatest thing ever to see someone you have helped and cared for, succeed and be truly happy, understood, and safe.
