LIFE is the most precious thing we have in this world. The only thing more precious than your own lives are the lives of your children. I know this. I take great pride in being responsible with the safety of your children but also add value and enhancement to your child's life by reading, doing homework and playing with them. Playing, playing, beyond Angry Birds on the iPad playing, I mean. The world is scary enough on its own without having to worry about whether or not your children's babysitter is a safe driver. Lucky you, I'm here to put your mind at ease because besides the first parking ticket I received about three weeks ago (college campuses really getcha), my record is squeaky clean....Cleaner than the dishes that will be done by the time you come home from work. As a 21 year old college junior (attending Southern Connecticut Read more State University), I have over 7 years of PAID work experience with children and about 9 years of volunteering experience with special needs adults. I have worked with children from the ages of 9 months- 17yrs. That being said, I can make your infants formula, change your toddlers diaper, edit your preteens homework or talk about future college plans with your teenager. I have worked with private families in babysitting, of course, but I have also been a camp counselor and even won Counselor of the Year in 2012. I have volunteered with the Cheshire Special Olympics since I was 12 years old and just recently became the coach of the Special Olympics volleyball team. I have experience with twins, autistic children, children with learning disabilities, children with severe allergies, and more. I am different than most babysitters because this is more than a job to me. I genuinely care about kids and while I could easily get a corporate job (I had one and just recently quit), no other position is as fulfilling as this one. I dedicate my life to each family I work for, and have even been known to attend their sporting games/special events off the clock.
