I have a success story from Sittercity! In the summer of 2013, I was able to be the daytime caregiver for two wonderful girls, whose mother made initial contact with me through this website. I am so proud of them (we still keep in touch) and can provide excellent references. I interned at an outstanding elementary school (K-5) full time during the 2012-2013 school year and was a substitute teacher (particularly kindergarten) in the Meriden public school system from October 2013 to May 2014. I have experience with bilingual and special needs children as well as those with learning disabilities. I have also taught/supervised high school level students at a summer program. Since I was about 13, I have babysat children of all ages in one-on-one, family, and larger group settings. I even volunteered/worked at a family-owned daycare a few days a week for $2 an hour when I was Read more in eighth grade because I loved working with kids so much! I sing and play piano, I am extremely creative and imaginative, patient, and always willing to share what I know or learn something new from a child.
