I'm Jack, the fourth of six children, with thirty-(almost 4) cousins and a niece and nephew (ages 3 and 9 months, who I love being with whenever I can). I've always been around children, and loved working with them, and while I loved that my family always had children for me to take care of, I'm now looking to make childcare a career. I went to college at the Villanova School of Business, but I found I loved the part time job where I worked as a nanny for three girls, ages 10, 6, and 4, more than I loved crunching numbers. I decided to change careers, and went out to Arizona to work for a Company, "Child and Family Support Services." (CFSS) Our mission was to help children with varying special needs integrate into society and home. We worked in tandem with families to help come up with a Read more routine for the children, as no one knows whats best for a child other than the parents, and helped them set goals which we worked toward. This included anything from taking a fourteen year old to school to help him and his teachers come up with a routine with which he felt he could succeed, to taking 6 year old out to the park to help him get comfortable playing with others. After CFSS, I decided I definitely wanted to work with children, but was unsure if I wanted to continue working in one on one interactions, or in a school setting. I'm looking to continue to get more experienced in working with children, so that I may learn more about the career with children I may want to pursue.
