I have had several years of child care before, during, and after raising my own two children. I have had overseas orphanage work helping in care of various ages of children, nanny for a new born ,child care workerror in church setting, childrens church director for a Baptist church. Currently baby sitting school aged children during summer holidays. I encourage imagination in play,work,and rest. I don't believe that I am to entertain but to care,protect, and guide a child. I am experienced in multi cultures and would like to share that with your child /children when appropriate. I'm fun and creative and a tad strict. I am Southern born and raised so I don't tolerate "sass"but teach respect and manners. I enjoy all ages of children and since I'm experiencing the empty nest stage of my life your child would get that special attention they need and deserve. I look Read more forward to hearing from you. I have also taught English as a Second language overseas and here in the states. Also tutoring in reading comprehension, and basic English. I am hopeless pass basic math NOT my cup of tea. I also worked on a special needs children's unit experiencing various needs. I especially want to add I am currently living in North Carolina however am moving to Connecticut area permanently after September. I am back and forth in the meantime and am available when needed.
