Hello! My name is Liz and I am 24 years old, recently moved to the Boston area and am looking for some wonderful families to work with! Currently, I am a certified Secondary History Teacher, graduating with my Master’s in Education in 2013 from the University of Connecticut. I am very dedicated to education, and have loved working with children of all ages. Most recently I have been teaching English abroad in both Spain and Thailand, having the pleasure of working with students of all ages, ranging from Pre-School to 12th grade. I have worked as a history instructor of inner-city students during the summer, focusing on creating innovative and interactive lessons to help students get excited about learning. I have also worked as a substitute teacher, an aide in an elementary special education classroom and interned at a historical museum, teaching students of all ages about past American cultures. Read more In the past, I was able to work for the Department of Children and Families as a babysitter for foster children, during important nightly meetings. Here I would work with a range of ages and up to eight children in a group, creating exciting games and playing with the children. I also cared for two girls after school, transporting them from school and to activities, preparing an afternoon snack and playing games with them. Overall I am a very energetic, responsible and excited person, who loves to work with children, having them enjoy their childhood while helping to care for them.
