As a child growing up in a one parent home, I was engaged in helping my mom with my siblings. My first job at the age of 15 was at an after school program. I loved every bit of it. Not only was I able to bring my genuineness and assisting skills to my job; I develop leadership skills as well. From there on (past 7 years) I worked with children. I worked the same after school / summer program for the entire 4 years of high school. I love this job because, I feel like taking care of children is what makes my day. In my eyes children are innocent and deserve the best love, leadership, and trust that an individual can give. Hard work, dedication, safety, trust, love and support is what makes me good at my job. I love to brighten children days and love it when Read more I get the same feeling back. On the other hand, I am very persistent and like to abide by rules. I once learned in my early childhood class in high school is "never give a child mix signals". I strongly believe in that. Whenever a task is given , I like to stick through it. However, I do believe in chances because we all make mistakes. Nonetheless, I like to work along side parents to ensure the best care possible with their child; especially when they are not present.
