My name is Cheryl and I am the mother of six children ages 24, 23, 19, 17, 13, and 11. They have made it extremely easy to be their mom and I couldn't be more proud of their individuality and who are they are becoming. As a stay-at-home mom for 20 years, I did before and after care. A few years ago I went back to school to become an esthetician and have since started a small business. Babysitting is a happy way for me to supplement my income as my business slowly grows. It also helps to fill the void I've no longer having tiny humans of my own. Probably the most important thing as a parent was/is to help them maintain good mental health and emotional stability. How they are made to feel as children plays such a big role in who they grow up to be. I Read more have always been very laid-back and calm. I don't sweat the small stuff. And I really do "get it". I've always respected my kids as I expect the same from them, and the results are unbelievable. I do not believe in humiliation in any way and without a doubt there is usually an underlying cause to negative behavior. In a nutshell my philosphy for my own kids is that I want nothing more then for them to be happy and content with themselves. Humility, patience, tolerance, gratitude, and acceptance..in my opinion best character traits to possess in order to be a kind and decent individual. Oh and I love pets!
