I am a veteran public school teacher. I have a CT Professional Educator License, and current CPR anc First Aid cetificates. I enjoy reading, writing, arts and crafts, cooking and gardening, all with children and alone. I have worked with disabled children and taken care of 2 elderly ladies. I took them shopping and rides, helped them with household chores, and provided general companionship. I love learning new things. I would not say I am comfortable with pets, having just gotten my first puppy, border collie-lab mix 3 years ago. I would be comfortable with a friendly small to medium sized dog. I am absolutely not fond of cats or pets in cages (rodents, birds, reptiles or amphibians).
