I am a loving, 48 year old mother of 2 daughters, ages 17 & 18, and one fur-baby, my 12 year old yellow lab. Now that my girls are grown & have jobs of their own, I'm missing the days of playing in the dirt, making mud pies & blanket forts, reading endless books over & over, playing games, visiting playgrounds, parks, the beach,etc. I currently work as manager of a full service family shoe store & thoroughly enjoy helping families find that shoe that fits perfectly! After 19 1/2 years, I am eager to move on & look forward to a career change. I have spent years providing friends & family with before/after school care for children from infancy through 12 years old, volunteering at schools, running school PTA events, coaching 6 year old soccer stars, led a Brownie troop with 32 members, and cheered on kids at numerous sporting events. Read more I love arts & crafts, gardening, sports, animals & the outdoors in general. I believe that children need to be allowed to be children, play in the dirt, jump in puddles, read with passion, plant flowers, but I also firmly believe they need guidance, rules and structure. I don't consider myself strict, but I am firm when the need arises. I am one of 10 children myself & have been around kids, dogs, cats, fish, & various forms of wildlife my entire life.
