To start, I absolutely love kids! Originally, I was pursing a degree in Elementary Education but switched to nursing-pediatrics. In the past I have volunteered at a Vacation Bible School through Saint Jude, as a teacher. I organized crafts, participated in games, and taught a daily lesson. I did my best to create an enjoyable, fun environment on a daily basis. I also volunteered at the Windham Middle School After School Program helping non-English speaking students complete homework. After homework was complete we played games outside or constructed crafts. Currently, I occasionally babysit for a family with three children between the ages of 6 months and 10 years old. We are constantly playing games and doing activities, keeping busy whenever possible both indoors and outside. I think it is important to participate in games and activities and not strictly supervise, not only to help build a trusting relationship, but also Read more contribute to an enjoyable time for everyone. I grew up playing sports, but also have an artistic side. I took art courses as electives in high school and have always loved arts and crafts. I have an open imagination and can create a game or activity out of almost anything. I enjoy keeping busy and would prefer to play a game or create a craft instead of sitting on the couch watching TV for the day. I have a lot of patients and have years of experience with kids in both a professional and casual environment. I have a wide range of interests and an outgoing personality. As much as I enjoy having fun, I keep a close eye making sure the environment and activity always remains safe. I have completed the Safe Environment Program, have basic safety and injury training, and if requested I am willing to become CPR certified. I work hard to leave a positive impression and smiles on faces, leaving kids excited to see me again!
