My name is Molly, and I'm currently residing in Middletown, CT. I'm 30 years old, a college graduate, and an experienced childcare provider (on-and-off positions for 12+ years). I've been a babysitter and/or FT nanny for children of different age groups both in Connecticut and in New York, and have had great experiences with a range of kids. My most recent, most committed child care experience was a family with a boy, whom I watched almost full-time from age 4-6, and his baby sister, whom I nannied either full-time, or at least 30 hrs/wk (it varied) --- from the age of 5 months to 1. 5 years old. I have the skills and stamina of a fun, quality caregiver, and avoid just propping children in front of the television. I'm artsy and have always loved making things, and I find that this translates well into babysitting because I enjoy doing Read more little projects with kids and helping them create stories and narratives. I am also an avid reader and writer; I love to read to kids and help with homework. On a practical note, I have a car, so transportation is no problem and have experience driving kids to activities and/or to/from school. Basically--- I am naturally a good babysitter-- it's just true. I find kids to be great fun and, accordingly, I treat them like the people they are-- and I respect their sensitivities. As I indicated above, I insist on reading over TV (depending on house rules of course), love to play make believe (I'm a writer, so it comes naturally)... NOTE: I begin graduate school in the fall, but it is an online program and would not interfere with my schedule (I've succeeded in the past doing both childcare and university.)
