I am a soon-to-be graduate of Franklin & Marshall college looking for summer childcare opportunities. Aside from frequent babysitting during my high school years, my childcare experience includes volunteering at the New Canaan United Methodist Preschool in the fall of 2011, where I provided an extra hand to the teachers as well as an additional playmate for the children. Moreover, I worked at the New Canaan YMCA's Camp Miniature during the summers of 2011 and 2012, where I worked with children ages 3-5. Here, I closely watched over the children during their play/"activity" time, prepared snacks and lunches, taught them basic swimming skills, helped with arts & crafts, and overall assured each child had a safe and enjoyable summer camp experience. Other than that, I've held a few jobs in retail around town (New Canaan), but I certainly enjoy working in childcare the most! **Please note: after YEARS of putting Read more it off, I just started the process of getting my driver's license--while I do have my learner's permit, I won't be taking my driver's test until the end of August.
