I am one of five siblings so growing up in a big family has allowed me to acquire a range of skills from scheduling, cooking, house cleaning, and LOTS of patience. I grew up in Old Saybrook, CT and currently attending Eastern Connecticut State University. Throughout high school I was constantly competing in every athletic season (Soccer, Basketball& Tennis), then found a new love for lacrosse when joining the team in college. Previously, I've interned in Old Saybrook's Elementary and Middle school classrooms as a teaching assistant, served as a counselor for the youth basketball program Slamma Jamma/ ran clinics with my teammates from Eastern that was offered to younger girls who wished to strengthen their lacrosse skills. This past summer (May-August) I worked as a nanny for a family on Martha's Vineyard and absolutely loved engaging with the three kids (4,6&8) in activities such as outdoor hikes, treasure hunts, Read more playing in the pool, and helping improve their reading skills by making frequent visits to the library. I've always had a passion for working with and naturally caring for children so enthusiastically that it sparked my interest to major in Psychology and Sociology, so that in hopes of working in either a school and or counseling environment upon graduation in the fall. I take pride in all of my work, and can guarantee your children a responsible, fun-loving, enthusiastic and honest sitter! :)
