I have been a caregiver all my life for different people of different ages. While I was growing up, I always watched out for my older brother who is mentally challenged. Currently I am his guardian and he has lived with my family for the last 17 years. When it came time to have a family, I raised our 2 children who are now 22 and 17. For 6 years, I taught Sunday School at Trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown. I love and miss the fun activities with kids! In addition, my mother lived with my family for 12 years and I helped her with everyday tasks, including errands, meal prep, and helping to maintain mental acuity with puzzles. So, be it children, those with mental disabilities, or the elderly, I have cared for them all!
