As the oldest child of four, I have grown up watching for and caring for children. I started watching other family's children at the age of 12. I was constantly babysitting for families in my neighborhood all throughout high school and when I came home from college. I have also worked at Kumon tutoring center for a summer, helping children with math and reading. I have also helped found a summer camp that took place in Massachusetts. In May I will graduate from Mount Saint Mary College in New York with a degree in social sciences with a concentration in history with a duel certification in elementary education and special education. As I went through my courses I worked in a variety of classrooms and participated in math and reading programs. This spring semester I am student teaching. I have worked in a second grade classroom and moved onto my Read more second placement in a life skills special education classroom with sixth, seventh, and eighth graders that are around a second grade level. I am looking for a summer position in childcare. I will be available Monday to Friday, starting the week of May 26th until mid August.
