Hi there, My name is Taylor, I am a 26 year old graduate student, working towards a master's degree to become a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). My professional goal is to become a bilingual SLP and work in a public school in a city, providing much needed services to elementary, middle, and high school students. I currently am proficient in Spanish, but do not consider myself fluent. I have a Bachelor's in Spanish, but am un poco rusty! I also have a Bachelor's in Psychology, and extensive experience in courses related to child development and child psychology. When I was young I used to babysit my neighbor's kids, off and on for a little over a year. I have since moved and lost contact with them, so I do not have their reference. During the last two years of graduate school I have had four school-aged clients, ages 5, 7, 10, and 11. Over these years, I have developed close relationships with each client, supported them with speech and language goals, including sound productions, social skills related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavior management and regulation support, and counseling. I truly enjoy having a great time with my kiddos and embedding learning opportunities in fun, age-appropriate activities! Long story short: I LOVE working with children, and would welcome the opportunity to provide babysitting services wherever you may need me! I have graduate-level experience learning about child-development and psychology, as well as practical experience working with children on their speech and language needs.
