My passion is encouraging and assisting others in achieving overall wellness and a better quality of life. I am especially interested in working with the elderly or youth because they are often overlooked and underserved. This experience along with my passion for the elderly and youth inspires me to pursue a Masters in Occupational Therapy. I served as ABA Therapist working with children with autism, emotional disturbance, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. My responsibilities as an ABA Therapist include using appropriate applied behavior teaching, communication, and reinforcement techniques. Providing intensive individualized therapy services directed toward the development of skills necessary for emotional, cognitive, behavioral, language, and interpersonal growth of the student. My experience working with autistic children correlates with my passion work with the youth. In addition to my work experience and educational studies including Anatomy and Physiology, gender aging, nutritional sciences, my previous experience helping recovering patients in a health Read more care facility as a volunteer, and working with clients with developmental disabilities. Also, I currently serve as a volunteer counselor for high school students of foreign-born parents helping them adapt to American social settings. I have experience providing customer service that has given me the ability to problem solve while maintaining focus in stressful settings.
