I am a recent college graduate from Luther College in small town Decorah, IA who has recently moved to DC for a job with FoodCorps. I will be working in the local school systems with food education helping to create and tend school gardens. I am very passionate about connecting kids with their food and the environment through playing outdoors, staying active and having a say and understanding about what they eat. I am very creative and love arts and crafts time--its a great way to encourage kids' expression and representation. I am very flexible and adaptable according to every child's unique needs and wants. My personal hobbies include running, hiking, reading, and cooking. A lot of my experience with kids has been through running youth groups, directing choir, teaching art classes and various nannying jobs.
