Hello! I am a recent graduate of Gallaudet University, with a BA degree in Psychology with Honors. Soon I will be applying for graduate school and between now and headinng off to head school, I am working. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old ( I even completed youth training for babysitting offered through a local program). I am comfortable with any age of child from just a few weeks old and older. My professional experience in childcare: I have worked at residential and day summer camps with ages 5-18 since 2010. Each program requires updated CPR AED and First Aid certification to ensure if accidents occur, children are as safe as possible and in capable hands. I would primarily be assigned cabins in the age range 5-12 years old at residential camp. I currently still work in team building under a program called Personal Discovery, at Gallaudet University. I also work as a teaching assistant at Gallaudet, as a sales associate at Metro Mutts pet shop, and as an assistant to a health fraud lawyer. The Fall semester is ending and I will have too much time between December 10th and January 18th, thus I must find alternative income in order to make rent etc. I would prefer to watch infants to 3 year olds, but I am open to other ages and you can be sure I know how to entertain most ages. I enjoy teaching and visiting child-friendly museums and events, and the library is a favorite destination. I love to read and I hope to encourage that love in the younger generations. I do have a dog, well-trained, mild-mannered, so friendly and gentle with children. If it isn't minded, I think it would be fun for the kids (if older than 5) to play with him occasionally. I am looking for temporary work between December 10th to January 18th, Monday and Wednesday's 8 AM-3 PM. I can also work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the morning before 10 AM.
