My name is Susie, and I've been living in DC for a little over a year. I came to DC to take classes in the evenings at the University of Maryland that would satisfy the pre-reqs for physician assistant school. (I am applying to PA school this year.) I am originally from California (Bay Area). I first came to the east coast to work at an all girls sleepaway summer camp in Pennsylvania. I worked at that camp for 3 summers and loved it! After that, I loved working with kids outdoors so much that I got a job working in upstate NY at a YMCA where I worked with both kids and adults alike, teaching science and team building. I've also worked at an occupational therapy clinic with kids with special needs in California. I graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA with a degree in Kinesiology Read more and a minor in English.
