Professionally, I am a social worker (MSW) and have a wide variety of experience working with young children in school, camp and home-care settings. I have been trained in CPR/First Aid and have completed the Virtus Child Protection Training in the Archdiocese of Washington and St. Louis. Personally, I am one of six children, a twin and the only daughter of two teachers (pre-k, elementary and high school). I have been very actively involved in the care for my youngest sibling, who is currently 9 years old. I have provided child care for families with 1-3 children, but have also worked in classroom settings as a tutor/mentor, assisting teachers and after-school program providers with up to 35+ students at one time. I have worked with children and young adults with special needs (physical, developmental, emotional, cognitive, etc) in clinic and school-based settings as a mentor and friend. I am able Read more to multi-task by engaging with each child and/or children, while also ensuring daily tasks are completed (school work, play, fed, clothed, bathed, put to bed, etc).
