Hello everyone! My name is Alyssa and I recently moved to DC from Massachusetts. I am a recent graduate from Boston University. In school, I studied International Relations and Public Relations. I come from an education-loving family; both of my parents are teachers! I currently work at environmental nongovernmental organization in DC and I love hiking and being outdoors. From my experience as an aunt, family-member to many young children, and babysitter, I know that I am patient, friendly, and engaging with children of all ages, as well as adults! My mother is a first grade teacher and I used to spend time with her in the classroom frequently. She has been a great resource to me as I have begun tutoring young readers. I am also the aunt of a beginning reader and have helped young family member with reading in the past. My babysitting experience includes years of Read more frequent babysitting while in high school and college. I also taught English to and watched a four-year old boy when I lived abroad in France. I am an aunt to two young children and love spending time with them! Because of the time I have spent with older family members, I have also grown up with a huge respect for my elders, and would be happy to assist as a companion to them as well.
