My name is Laura and I grew up just over the DC line in Maryland. I have always loved children, and even before I was old enough to babysit, I would find jobs in my neighborhood working as a mother's helper. Aside from babysitting throughout my adolescence, I've also worked as a camp counselor throughout high school and as an assistant teacher during my summers in college with children who have special needs. I was certified in First Aid and CPR in college. After graduating with degrees in Psychology and Studio Art, I moved to NYC for four years to work in a corporate position. Eventually that job led me back to the DC area but I am making a career change into a therapy/counseling profession. I will be attending Graduate School starting this summer and looking for part time babysitting positions during the day and/or at nights when I Read more do not have class. I'm a big Washington Capitals fan, my twin brother lives across the street from me, I love dogs, I played field hockey in college, and I am very proud aunt to my new niece, Audrey!
