I am the second oldest of six kids and from a young age have been comfortable and confident caring for children. Before my sixteenth birthday, I had regularly babysat for a family of six children and another of four boys (both sets of children were all under the age of 10). Since then, I have nannied part time. I feel strongly that all children should not only be cared for but also nurtured and invested in. I want to help parents who share this conviction. Having completed my MSW last year, I recently moved to DC to begin a career in social work. I work at Catholic Charities as a Crisis Specialist for ChAMPS (Children and Adolescent Mobile Psychiatric Service). I am looking for part-time, occasional babysitting to supplement my salary. Most importantly, I love working with children, and I enjoy the informal, fun, and family/home centered experience babysitting provides.
