My name is Katie and I'm a college grad from East Carolina University (GO Pirates!). I'm originally from Virginia but crossed the river 5 years ago to reside in this great city of Washington, DC. I currently work full time but enjoy and love watching kids part-time. I have been babysitting since the days when my own parents would drop me off and pick me up (a really long time). ;-) I have watched kids of all age ranges from twins at 6 mos to a handful of kids under 10 for adult parties and even teenagers. I used to be a lifeguard and camp counselor for a summer program, Rec-PAC, run by Fairfax County during my summer breaks from school. I am very active so in my personal time you can find me cooking/baking, working out, playing soccer, traveling and crafting. Katie is a very capable and reliable sitter. We have used her once, but she also came to our house for an interview. She was early for both appointments. My girls (a 2 year old and 5 year old) really like Katie. After she sat for us the girls described their day with her as being very exciting and filled with many fun activities. It was clear she spent a lot of quality time with them engaging them in role playing, games, play dough, and reading books. We will definitely use her again. Ruth
