My name is Taylor McBroom, I graduated from Sussex Technical High School in June 2016 from the Early Childhood and Education program. While attending Sussex Tech, I was required to assist in the PACTTCenter (Parents and Children Together at Tech) for a minimum of 15 hours each quarter (8-9 school weeks). While enrolled, I was also given the opportunity to gain around 120 hours of daycare experience (freshman year service hours were not recorded). I was able to dual-enroll with DelTech for a semester to take an ECE-111 class which helped to provide information about health and nutrition. I attained my CPR and Basic First Aid Certification for adult and pediatric use from the American Safety & Health Institute as part of my curriculum. And was also taught how to write lesson plans and execute them effectively to age groups ranging from Infant (2 months) to Pre-K. During the summer Read more of 2015 I was a Nanny for a family in Milton, DE. I took care of 2 children (ages 9 and 11) from 8-5 Monday-Friday while the parents were at work. I had many responsiblities ranging from cooking, cleaning, laundry, entertaining, and tutoring when needed. I also babysit regularly for two families in the Georgetown area with ages ranging from 2-8 years old.
