I have always been surrounded by pets ever since I was a young girl. My dad works with animals and my sister does too so we always had a variety of pets at home. When I was 3, my sister and I received a Dalmatian puppy for Christmas because we loved the Disney movie so much. We named him Pekos. Pekos and I pretty much grew up together and he lived a long and happy life. My sister and I had a very special connection with that dog. When he was about 15, he got very sick and he passed. It was the same year I graduated high school. Having Pekos growing up helped me realize that pets are just as much a part of a family as anyone else. Besides our Dalmatian we had rabbits, turtles, birds, fish, and even ducks. I have experience pet sitting for neighbor's and Read more friend's pets, usually cats and dogs. The first time I was asked to pet sit was when I was about 13 years old by a neighbor. I would babysit for her usually so she trusted me to house sit and pet sit while they were away. I began to offer other neighbors and my family if they ever needed a pet sitter I would be glad to do so. When my dad rescued a Bloodhound/Lab mix from his work he was able to adopt him and bring him home to us. His name is Zeus and he is one of the funniest/goofiest dogs I have ever met. Weighing in at about 80 pounds, he thinks he is a lap dog. He is now living at my sister's house but I still get the chance to visit with him often. I hope to someday rescue a dog of my own. I am CPR certified and have lots of experience with pets and will love them as if they were mine.
