Hello, my name is Joleen. I am almost 22 years old and moved to Florida about 3 years ago. I'm currently looking for part time or full time work as a sitter/nanny and have experience with all ages of children. Being the aunt of three, a 10 year old, 4 year old, and 2 year old, all of who I lived with until 3 years ago, I've had plenty of experience with them at all stages of their life. I began caring for them since their birth, but began babysitting alone as early as 5 months. I have taken care of children, including infants, while they're sick, overnight, on strict eating plans. I have potty trained my youngest niece and nephew, have helped with minor to moderate behavioral issues, and make sure the children I am caring are clean, bathed, and overall well-kept. Personally, I feel most confident caring for Read more children from 6 months to 4 years, however I can most certainly entertain and keep up with the older ones! My personal babysitting style (when on a regular basis) varies, but I always try to have the kids on somewhat of a meal routine, (i.e. snack time, veggies before dinner) and I enjoy doing activities throughout the day so they learn and exercise as they have fun! I also like to alternate calm, creative time, such as painting or music, with other activities like outdoor play or hide and seek. Of course, I'd follow and adapt to your specific preferences and the child's interests and needs! Those are just things I've done when I watch my brothers little ones. I began babysitting altogether at the age of 16, first for family friends, including 5-year-old twin boys, pre-teen boy and girl, then for neighbors and such. I'm majoring in Secondary Social Science Education. Though I am not currently CPR certified, I would absolutely get said certification upon hire. I can cook and do household tasks upon request. School is very important, so if the child needs help studying I would love to help out. Since I want to be a teacher, anything education-related I particularly enjoy. I would also love to meet the child(ren) for a play date so you are able to see how I interact before actual employment! I currently do work full time, however for the right family, I would be willing to leave said job if the opportunity for a full time position arose.
