I have worked for two years at a Christian boys summer camp in Black Mountain, NC called Camp Rockmont. At the camp I was responsible for the safety and care of 8 different young men every 2 weeks. At the camp I worked with children from ages 6-15 but my particular cabin housed 11 and 12 year olds. As a counselor I was responsible for creating a fun yet safe environment that would both challenge the young men as well as allow them to grow physically, emotionally and spiritually. I would lead my cabin in nightly devotions and Bible studies as well as work with my fellow counselors to have a message prepared for my entire tribe every morning. It was a very demanding job but one of the most rewarding experiences I could ever ask for.
