I have been a regular babysitter for quite some time now. I am friendly and fun, but I will make sure that your rules are maintained while you are gone. I love art, and I am currently studying French independently. If the child doesn't have any homework or responsibilities that we need to take care of while I am watching, I always try to come prepared either with a game, crafts, or ideas so that way we both have as much fun as possible. I have a lot of experience working in school settings as well, so here is some information regarding my responsibilities: St. John’s Episcopal Parish Day School Eaglet Camp: Summer 2013 & 2014 -Assisted the children in my group (aged 3-4) in using their words when conflict arose so that they could work out a solution together. -Spoke with parents in the morning about upcoming events the Read more camp was having along with answering questions they may have. -Monitored lunch to make sure no issues with allergies would arise. -Designed and decorated bulletin boards for the classroom and helped get the materials necessary ready for daily activities. -Helped children who had difficulty leaving their parents in the morning by getting them involved on the playground. St. John’s Episcopal Parish Day School After School Program Counselor: Summer 2011-2014 -Initiated games and worked to make sure everyone was involved and enjoying themselves. -Assisted students on their homework but made sure to never just give them the answers. -Ran errands for the heads of the after school program like making copies, cleaning desks or other messes, taking students to drop off, etc. -Lead crafts and other activities and made sure everyone was included. St. John’s Episcopal Parish Day School Academic Camp: Summer 2009-2014 -Assisted students in completing their artwork and their classwork. -Helped the art teacher by providing individual instruction as needed to the students who were struggling.
