I am 18 years old and I am a student at the University of Florida. I love animals I had originally had my heart set on becoming a veterinarian at the University of Florida, but as many college students do I decided to change my major to finance to follow another interest of mine in the stock market. However, I still love animals and have no issues with them or allergies to them at all. I do speak some Castilian Spanish at an intermediate level. I have taken Spanish all through primary and secondary school. I would not say I am fluent, but I can hold a conversation and understand most things that others may be saying. I am a Christian, however I am open to caring for children of any faith. I grew up in a Christian home and went to a Christian school from 1st to 8th grade. Read more I am very close with my family. I have one sister who is three years younger than I, three step brothers, and four step sisters. My parents are divorced however they have remarried and we have strong ties and enjoy a large extended family now. I would be comfortable with working alongside a mother that would not be an issue for me at all. I have never been treated for mental illness and I would feel comfortable caring for about 3 or 4 children if necessary. I feel comfortable working with children of all ages, while growing up I had cared for many family friends' children and they varied in ages from 2-13. I have never been a nanny before however I have been a house cleaner as well as a baby sitter, so I understand and have undertaken the responsibilities of a nanny just never as an official title. In the past I have worker as a pressure washer in high school. I have also worked with the university police department as a part of a program called walksafe, which is a service that primarily walks individuals on campus late at night and provides them will an escort so they would feel safe. We would wear bright yellow reflective vests and we carried a police radio in case there should ever be an emergency and we needed contact with the police officers. I would say I have a pretty easy going personality, not too assertive, but not too much of a pushover, probably somewhere in the middle.
