I recently graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. I am currently taking prerequisites to apply to graduate school for speech-language pathology. I worked as a literacy tutor in high school through the YMCA for children in kindergarten through third grade. I've also babysat for relatives throughout high school and college. Beginning my freshman year of college, I spent a lot of time working with the disability population. I spent a year working as an AmeriCorps member, where I was able to help young adults with disabilities find employment. I currently work for the Arc Jacksonville as an independent living mentor for young adults with disabilities. In addition, I sit with an elderly woman a few hours a week.
