I started working in daycare in 1989 and knew immediately what I wanted to do. I loved working with kids and people with disabilities. I went to HCC where I studied early child development 1, 2 & 3, first aid, CPR (infant and adult). I soon opened my own home day care and tended to my two boys who are now 20 & 22 along with 5 other children. In 2000 I worked at Grady elementary for 2 yrs as a teachers aid with cerebral Palsy children and earned my respite care certificate. I took a year off for medical reasons and went right back as a nanny for a newborn and watched him until he was 12 months. I have been working as nanny for 5 & 7 year old for the last 3 yrs .
