I graduated from Orangewood Christian Highschool in 2012.  I have been caring for children since I was 8 years old.  To prepare for this I attended the American Red Cross babysitting training course, which provided me with Basic First Aid, and CPR Certification.   I went to and completed English Nanny and Governess School in 2013. Caring for children is a passion of mine.  The children I have experience caring for range in age from newborn to 13 years old.   In the past I have organized a week long, 5 hour summer camp, to children ranging in age from 3 yrs old to 10 yrs old at my home.  During this time I provided arts/craft activities, outdoor games, swimming, sundae making, and lunch for up to ten children at a time.  All the families who participated ask me every year if I am going to put on another camp, Read more as their children look forward to coming so much. During high school, I found a great way to volunteer at the Coalition for the Homeless.  Each month they had a birthday party for the children living at the Coalition.  I helped by setting up board games, cake, drinks, and a small gift for each child attending that had a birthday during the month.  It was very rewarding to see the smiles on their faces as they came to the birthday party in honor of them.  It was an honor for me to be there, and help with this fun event. I pride myself in not only caring for children, but providing them with age appropriate activities to help them enjoy their time with me.  Some examples of what I LOVE to do is swimming, biking, playing indoor/outdoor games, reading, going to the park, feeding the ducks, going to a movie, or any other activity the children may enjoy.   I have worked for the same families for the last nine years, and all my jobs are references from people I have worked for over the last ten years.  My philosophy for caring for children is to provide them with a safe, caring environment with special attention to each individual child's needs, while following the schedule/routine set forth by their parent(s). It takes someone special to be a caregiver, not a babysitter.  I am that person.  I have loved working with children since a very young.  I take a lot of pride in what I do, and have enjoyed watching the children I currently take care of grow up through the years.
