Hi, My name is Tanner and I'm an experienced Environmental Educator, tutor, and a 6th grade science teacher. I am most accustomed to working with children 8 years and older. A little about myself. I began working with children 6 years ago, while I was attending the University of Oregon. I worked in the environmental education department at the Environmental Leadership Program in Eugene, OR. I created and implemented environmentally based lesson on large groups of middle school students within the H.J. Andrews Old Growth forest. Upon graduating from the University of Oregon, I got accepted into the prestigious Teach For America program. I spent the following two years working as a 6th grade science teacher in the rural Mississippi Delta. In my 2nd year as a teacher, I led my students to achieving the highest summative ACT/ASPIRE test scores that my school district has ever produced.
