Hi to all parents. This review is strictly factual. Gabriella accepted the position to help me with my 8 year old autistic daughter for every other weekend from Friday thru Sunday. She was very sweet and respectful during our interactions and she did seem to care for my daughter. She came the first weekend and seemed to have a hard time dealing with my daughters occasional tantrums and behaviors. My daughter was ill that weekend so she was a little more cranky than usual. I was around most of the time to help Gabriella get acclimated and teach her how to take care of my daughter but I sensed Gabriella was not enjoying her interactions with my daughter. After questioning her, she told me she felt that she did not want to continue working with my daughter on a regular basis because she has so much pressure with school and she felt taking care of my daughter added to that stress. She promised me that she would continue working for me until I found a replacement. I called her this week to discuss that I have not found a replacement yet and she assured me that she would come this weekend to help me. I told her I was really trying to find someone but I was taking my time to get the right fit so this does not happen again. She said no problem and that she will be there on Friday. Well Friday came and Gabriella text me asking if I had found someone yet. I said no but I am confident that within the next two weeks before she would have to come again that I would very likely find and replace her. She text me a few hours before she was to show up that she can't make it! Had she just been honest with me and said she was not going to come, I would have found a temporary replacement and not been without help this weekend. Gabriella is a premedical student and seemed mature so I took her at her word...my mistake!!! Just wanted parents to know my experience so you can make your own decision knowing these facts.
