For the past 6 years I've had a lot of experience with children. Being 7th grade I was a volunteer camp counselor at my swim team's swim camp. I was given the responsibility of watching over 12 to 20 kids. I am a professional swimmer so I was allowed to coach the kids in the pool and make sure everyone is safe. Over the years at the swim camp I was given the responsibility to watch over kids from the ages 4 to 12. My time at the camp was educational and I prize it since I learned and experienced the responsibility it takes to make sure these kids are safe and having fun. Recently I volunteered at Whispering Manes, a nonprofit organization where handicapped children were giving the opportunity to ride horses with close supervision. I worked as a horse handler and cleaned around the barn. The experience was Read more incredible, the children never quit smiling. Although it did prove to be the most changeling experience; it was my responsibility to keep the children calm around the horses. Although I haven't baby-sited , I think I would be well equipped for the job.
