Hi there! I am 30-year-old graduate student looking for a part-time position with a fun-loving family in need of an experienced babysitter. I am very dedicated, trustworthy, energetic, reliable and great with kids! I am originally from New Jersey but have lived in Kansas City, New York, Boston and Florida over the past 10 years. I just moved back to Florida and am in search of employment with children.I am very comfortable with multiple children of all ages, and my experiences have encouraged me to pursue a career helping young children and adolescents in the social work field. After I graduate I hope to work as a therapist for children and those affected by trauma using Play Therapy. In college I double-majored in Psychology and Photography and have also taken many early childhood education and development courses in and out of school. Every age has unique aspects and challenges (mentally, Read more socially, cognitively) and I think I would be a great role model and caregiver that is able to work with your child as they grow and mature. I would also be a great tutor and am available to help with homework if needed! I love reading, playing outside, and arts and crafts projects-I want your children to have fun so I'm a very hands-on caregiver. I'm up for (almost) any activity but my main priority is keeping them safe. I also have completed multiple classes (45 hrs) with the Department of Children and Families, ranging from health and nutrition to behavioral observation. My previous experience with children started from a young age and has continued throughout my life in many ways: sleep-away camp counselor, day cares, pre-schools, home care, and with infants and various babysitting jobs with kids of all ages. I am looking for another one-on-one situation where I can get to know the child(ren) and family and be able to focus my attention on one family. I have a valid driver's license and a very safe car to transport the kids to activities (and an impeccable driving record). I am not proficient in cooking, but would love to learn if you'd let me try out a few recipes on your family! My schedule is open and I am available to work late or on weekend nights if needed.
