I attend Howard University, located in Washington D.C., as a sociology, psychology double major. I finished my first semester on the Deans List with a 3.7 GPA. I have extensive experience dealing with children of all ages. I have three younger siblings all under the age of 5. Therefore, I am no stranger to baby mishaps, toddler tantrums and 5 year old banter. (which I actually find entertaining) I have also worked as a teacher intern and program director for the Miami based national non-profit Breakthrough Miami. It is an educational program for underserved children. My freshman and sophomore years I taught 3 classes of 5th grade geography. I was also the youngest teacher on staff. My senior year of high school I became the program manager. I was responsible for organizing volunteers and planning weekly events and activitives for 115 young ladies between the ages of 9 and 14. Read more This program required me to be CPR certified and trained me well in how to respond to emergency situations. I am looking for some extra work. I am very good with kids being the oldest in my household I am fully capable of dealing with several children at once. Assisting with dinner, preparing for bedtime and light house keeping are also tasks I have experience with . I am very energetic and I am not afraid to have fun or be silly. However, I also understand the importance of a routine.
