Hello, My name is Racheal Johnston and I am 19 years old. I will be 20 in March. I am currently looking for employment based on my experience and what I love to do! I get along with kids very well. I understand that there's a time for play and a time to be the one in charge and the responsible adult and am comfortable with both. I have experience working with children at a non-profit Gymnastics program in Baltimore, MD. While there, I assisted other coaches with their teams by providing additional supervision, spotting support, creativity by obstacle course set up and game assistance. I have leadership skills as well. I participated in warm-up activities as a demonstrator and helped kids stay on task. I also worked with children at gymnastics birthday parties. The parties involved setting up the tables and chairs, creating obstacle courses for the kids and Read more assisting them through the obstacles adding changes and challenges as they progressed. As far as individual day care, I have experience from babysitting my step-sister for several years that is 7 years younger than me. I love to play and be interactive with the kids. I have always collected stuffed animals and dolls and am still a fan of them and enjoy spending that kind of time with children. While watching my step-sister, I was responsible for cooking meals, cleaning up together, keeping her safe and having a good time. I have experience watching my next door neighbor as well. She is currently 7 years old. I have an interest with working with all ages and types of children. I am comfortable with children with disabilities as I have a few friends with them and have learned to communicate effectively. I love animals, so I am comfortable in pet homes and can assist with the pets as well. I don't have my own transportation but my parents can assist with transport and I'd be sure to know the emergency requests by the parents prior to being left with the kids.
